Focusing on these flaws can lead you to reject the house outright when other parts about it may have made it suitable.
Flaws that are especially inconsequential in a piece of Vaughan real estate are decor related. Walls can easily be painted over. Doors can easily be replaced. Pictures can be taken down, flooring can be ripped up, and cupboards can be refinished, all with a minimum of expense and effort. Stand in a room and close your eyes. Mentally repaint the walls a color you like. Take out the furniture the owners have in it and replace it with your own. Change the flooring. Knock out a wall. And then see what you think. It makes a big difference.
